Fundraising / Donations to Padel Canada

We are pleased to announce that the Padel Association of Canada (PAC) in cooperation with Leede Financial Markets has established a brokerage account for our National Headquarters Building Fund.

We are actively raising funds to help finance the building of a “World Class” Padel Centre. This public facility will serve as our National Headquarters and Training Centre and be the focal point of Padel in Canada. The total cost of the facility will exceed $2 million dollars, our target is to raise a minimum of 25% or $500,000.

Our last Federal Budget announced a very positive initiative for non-profit organizations that will make it easier for individuals and corporations to donate publicly listed securities. According to changes announced in the last Federal Budget on May 2, 2006 by the following applies;

#1 - If an individual or a corporation donates appreciated publicly traded securities or mutual funds that are listed on a major Canadian stock exchange to a Registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association such as the Padel Association of Canada you will pay “NO” tax on the capital gains of these gifted securities.

#2 - Padel Canada will provide you with an official tax receipt for the full amount of the fair market value of the security, just as if it had been a cash donation. The value will be based on the security’s most recent closing or bid price when ownership transfers to PAC.
