Permanent Building

The Padel Association of Canada is seeking a permanent site for its National Headquarters and Training Centre. The Centre will be a world class racquet and fitness and recreation complex and will serve as the main Padel training and competition facility for our sport in Canada. The PAC will use the facility to grow the sport locally and nationally. Due to the similarities to tennis and squash we are looking to greatly enhance the viability of the project by attracting these racquet enthusiasts to our site. Our plan is also to run a multitude of world class national and international competitive events in padel as well as local programs, clinics, leagues that will help us showcase our sport locally and nationally.

The Need for a Multi-Racquet, Fitness and Recreation Centre

In today’s fast paced and stressful times, it is often very difficult for families to spend enough quality time together. Leisure and recreational facilities often target individual adult participants and it is unusual to find a facility that offers physical and recreational activities that can bring the whole family together. We believe that by offering the new sport of padel as well as a multitude of other sport and recreation programming in one location we will be able to attract a diverse number of individuals and families to our facility. Our aim is to provide quality programming through qualified staff and we are determined to create a facility with a fun an relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of every member and guest that visits our site. Racquet sports are lifetime activities which make them popular recreation activities. They encourage excellent year-round, aerobic activity for people of all ages, making them ideal for families as well as individuals. They can be played for little expense and require a small playing area relative to many other sports.

About the Centre

Padel is fun, easy to learn and challenging at all levels of racquet skills and physical fitness, and because it is always played as a doubles game, it is a sociable way to exercise with friends and family. The Centre will be a unique recreational, training and competitive facility that will feature a full slate of programs for participants of all ages and skill levels.

Multi-Use Activities

The Centre will be constructed so that staff can make certain adjustments and adaptations to the facility which will allow a number of other user groups outside of padel, to take full advantage of the space. The Centre intends to develop a series of strategic alliances and working partnerships to ensure the financial viability of the project. In our quest to achieve maximum facility usage we will approach a variety of existing clubs and other user groups to offer our site as a base for their operations.

The following is a “sample” selection of the many user groups that could be approached to consider running their programs out of our site:

  • 3-on-3 Basketball clubs
  • Wally-Ball leagues
  • 3-on-3 Soccer
  • Indoor Golf Range
  • Martial Arts
  • Table Tennis
  • Badminton
  • Dance clubs
  • Arts and crafts
  • Music programs

Community Benefits

The Centre will be a unique public access multi-use recreational, training, fitness and competitive facility that will feature a full slate of programs for participants of all ages with diverse interests and skill levels. We expect the facility to be a point of convergence for the immediate communities and offer the following benefits:

  • Nearby access to local residents to a world class public use health, fitness and recreation facility and new programs for a variety of life time sports for people of all ages and skill levels. The recreation facility will add value and prestige to the area by promoting a healthier lifestyle for all family members.
